A true relationship
Relationships are what you make them. So many of us today don’t really know what it is to have a real relationship. It is wonderful to have a relationship with the person you love and you know they love you back. Relationships take commitment, truth, belief, wisdom, and most importantly time. When I look at my grandparents being together for 40 years, to some it may sound scary but it is a beautiful thing. However when I look at the world, in today’s society I don’t see relationships like that anymore. You have to work hard to keep it together. I can remember when I was a young boy in elementary school, calling myself wanting to have a girlfriend and being in love with her. It was so crazy because I thought we would be together forever. I wanted to be like my grandfather. It was hard learning how to “spit game” to the ladies.
I hung around all older men and quickly learned. But what they didn’t teach me is the hurt you have in your heart when you and your significant other break apart. When I first got dumped by my first love I cried like a baby. I look back on those days and I laugh because I thought I knew what love was and I didn’t. I was crying for nothing. When you’re young you think things last forever and they don’t. It takes time for you to find the one that is truly for you and best for your future. My advice would be when you find that person make certain to stay committed to them, stay truthful to them and believe. Also have enough wisdom to know that a true relationship takes time and it will never be perfect. Everything that has a start has an ending as well. Stay true to what yours.
