In an interview with XXLmag.com, Nas confirms that the late-great Amy Winehouse’s classic “Me and Mr. Jones” was about him.

“’I don’t really remember if Salaam, who was really close to her, who introduced us, if he told me about it or not,’ Nas told XXL. ‘I don’t remember right now. But, I heard a lot about it before I even heard the song.’”

In case you’re confused; Nas’ government name is Nasir Jones (Mr. Jones), his daughter’s name is Destiny (Mr. Destiny), he and Amy shared a September 14th birthday (9 and 14), and Nas was her favorite emcee (nobody stands between Me and my Man).

The song is about her boyfriend’s “fuckery” resulting in her missing a Slick Rick gig. She tells him he better act right, because she’s not missing an upcoming Nas concert over the same B.S.

Rihanna’s upcoming sixth album officially has a name and a release date.

Entitled Talk That Talk, RiRi’s new shit is set to drop on November 21st. Its release comes almost exactly one year since the release of her last album, Loud, in 2010.

I love me some Rihanna, but does anybody else find it a bit strange that she’s averaging an album a year right now? Is she an artist or a car on an assembly line?

Whatever; “We Found Love” is EPIC. So just press play and dance!

In truly sad news, British soul phenom Adele has been forced to cancel her upcoming U.S. tour, due to severe vocal troubles.

In a statement, Adele expressed both sadness and frustration at this turn of events, and vowed to enter vocal rehab soon. The cancellations are reportedly the result of a hemorrhage into one of her vocal chords.

This must be insanely disappointing to her fans (which is basically everyone at this point, right?), but it’s definitely for the best. Doing permanent damage to your vocals is no joke. Just ask Whitney…

J. Cole’s debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story will debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling a respectable 217,825 copies in just a week’s time.

These are impressive numbers for any new artist, but they could have probably been a bit higher had Jay-Z and Roc Nation not done such a haphazard job promoting this kid. Oh well.

J. Cole is a quality emcee, more than deserving of his success. Congrats!
