Why take the pledge?
Far too many Black youth continue to be demonized, criminalized and murdered.
Enough is enough!
In response to this intensifying crisis, the Black Youth Project (BYP) has launched “The Pledge.”
With “The Pledge,” we are asking individuals and organizations to close ranks around black youth and make a commitment to take action and fight with black youth as they confront a relentless crisis. We at the BYP believe that each person can make a difference by doing something!
By taking The Pledge we not only articulate our concern about black youth, but symbolically unite our voices with others who will work to confront this crisis.
If we each take action, whether it is starting a group, signing a petition, or mentoring a young person in your neighborhood, then we all become a part of the solution.
Stand With Black Youth!

The walk of life
Life is design to create a future for all people. People social life come from their family history. The earth is a growing place for people and nature. The social parts of earth are designed for people to learn from generations of life.
People are updated in time because of society and the design of there communities. I never really thought of it. Most of us think life is built like this because that’s just how they feel. But when you truly look at politics, culture, society, gender, and history it reveals how life is truly ran. When people search through the science of life those are the categories that matter the most. Without those things what would life be? Life is created and controlled through systems.
I’m a young African American male who think about life in many different ways because it is not easy being young and African American. And as I get older I know there is a system that has been set in place for me to follow because that’s how earth is designed.
Now that I’ve learn my history about myself and other I know why it is so challenging for us to live. Before I really took the time to learn what life is and how it takes place in my everyday life, I didn’t think about how life really was for people. This is an important subject that could wake people up to really start thinking serious and their actions in life. People’s actions determine the history for the next growing generation of youth. So be the change you wish to see in the world and don’t drop the ball.
