Son of Michael Jordan Arrested

Marcus Jordan, son of Michael Jordan and a basketball player at the University of Central Florida, was arrested on Omaha, Nebraka earlier this morning:

According to a news release, police responding to a call at the Embassy Suites found hotel security trying to subdue Marcus Jordan, who was having an argument with two women in the hotel driveway at 2:11 a.m.

The release said Jordan was “very animated, intoxicated and uncooperative,” and it took multiple officers to control and handcuff him.

Jordan was booked at the Douglas County Department of Corrections for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing. He had been released by Sunday night.

Jordan, a rising senior, averaged 13.7 points for UCF last season.

CBSSports.com’s Jeff Borzello notes that it’s not the first time Jordan has made headlines this offeason. In May, the UCF guard “accidentally” propositioned a porn star via Twitter. Then, there were the reports in early June that questioned whether Jordan was returning to the Knights for his senior season.

No word on why Jordan was in Nebraska–or at an Embassy Suites. (Assuming there are swankier lodging options in Omaha.)
