Former NFL star Darren Sharper returns to court Thursday for a hearing in Los Angeles that will determine whether he is released on bail. The decision follows a new set of charges against Sharper alleging that he sexually assaulted and drugged two women in Tempe, Ariz. last year.

Man freed, cops indicted after video of of abuse released

A New Jersey man is free after a dash cam video showing him being abused by police officers was released. Several charges were dropped against Marcus Jeter, 30, including eluding police and assault and two Bloomfield police officers have been indicted for falsifying reports. One of them has been charged with assault.

Update: deaf man beat by police for 7 minutes fled accident scene

A 64-year-old deaf man who was  beaten by police for 7 minutes allegedly fled the scene of an accident prior to the incident. Pearl Pearson, who also suffers from diabetes, was hospitalized as a result of the altercation. His family says two Oklahoma City troopers used excessive force when they pulled Pearson over. Memphis kindergarten teacher allegedly locks 5-year-old in closet, goes home sick

A Shelby county kindergarten teacher has been suspended with pay after allegedly locking a 5-year-old girl in a closet for over an hour. Kristin Oshfeldt teaches at A.B. Hill Elementary. She is accused of locking Akeelah Joseph in a dark classroom closet at the school.

Cops beat deaf man for 7 minutes because he didn’t respond to them

An Oklahoma man was beat for seven minutes by police because he did not respond to their yelling. 64-year-old Pearl Pearson, a deaf diabetic driver who lives in Oklahoma City was hospitalized as a result of the Jan. 3rd incident.
