A 16-year-old girl was killed in a drive-by shooting in Chicago’s West Englewood neighborhood that also left one man wounded early Saturday. Shaquise Buckner was killed in the 7200 black of South Laflin Street around 12:50 a.m., according to authorities.

Tuskegee Airmen statues vandalized in Chicago

A set of statues meant to pay homage to the Tuskegee Airmen were vandalized in Chicago over the weekend. Sunday morning, Chicago Park District employees were seen re-positioning the sculptures, which had been tipped over and broken sometime overnight.
