A human rights group is calling on Dunkin’ Donuts to remove an ad that they say is offensive.
The ad, currently running in Thailand, features a woman covered in black with only her lips colored pink, similar to that of the popular Minstrel Show images of early 20th century America.

Group of Black Patrons Denied Service at Restaurant Because White Customer Felt ‘Threatened’

A party of 25 African American family and friends were denied service at Wild Wing Cafe in Charleston, NC after a white customer said she felt threatened by them. After waiting for two hours, the manager finally approached them about the situation. When one member of the groups started recording the exchange, they were asked to leave.
