Actor Lee Thompson Young Found Dead

Actor Lee Thompson Young – famous for roles in the The Famous Jett Jackson, Rizzoli & Isles, and Friday Night Lights – has died. It is suspected that Young committed suicide. He was just 29-years old.

Hugh Douglas Fired After Spat w/ ESPN Co-Host Michael Smith

Hugh Douglas has been fired from ESPN after an ugly argument with w/ his co-host Michael Smith. Douglas and Smith got into a disagreement at the National Association of Black Journalists Convention and Career Fair, and according to witnesses, Douglas used the n-word and called Smith an Uncle Tom.

Kerry Washington is First Black Actress since 1995 to Earn Lead Actress Drama Nod at Primetime Emmys

Kerry Washington is the first black actress since Cicely Tyson in 1995 to receive a Lead Actress in a Drama nomination at the Primetime Emmy Awards. Washington received the nod for her role as Olivia Pope on ABC’s runaway hit Scandal.
